I can't
My son has a playdate coming over, and my wife is working so she can keep me in the manner to which I am accustomed
Funny thing is I might still have a shot at getting out to the midwest meet, but that decision is still a couple of weeks away.

Heysa. Are you driving up from RI? If so, we could plan to get there a little later in the morning. Either way, if you stand me up I won't hold it against you, but, weather permitting, I plan to be there with my shamefully dirty car.

Yeah... It's only an hour drive for me so anytime. The weather report for Saturday is clear 32º!

It does look like it's going to be a nice day on Saturday so I'm hoping to get my car washed there ... it will be embarrassing to drive in actually. What time do you think you'll get there? I'll shoot for the same time. It doesn't look like anyone else has replied that they'll go. Some people just don't have their priorities right I tell ya ...

Hey, I really did try:crying:
On an almost side note, I even just placed an order with John hoping that would me my excuse for the trip down, but shifting the calendar was not an option.
Back almost on topic - John behaved on emails and on the phone as if he was NOT a snooty Bostonian, so those of you afraid of the holier-than-thou attitudes will be pleased to deal with him

Um ... why would anyone get the idea that all Bostonians are snooty and have a holier-than-thou attitude (beyond what we deserve to have of course) when I'm one of the few they probably know besides John??

Now Brian, I am not trying to be mean nor abusive of ANYONE that participates here. You especially have been wonderfully friendly on all accounts. I guess my thoughts were more along the lines that folks thinking about dealing with BVV could find it a far more pleasant experience than they might expect. I never thought living in Connecticut or Massachusetts we were particularly unfriendly, but the more exposure I got outside of that area the more I wondered why we were so uptight.
I am also thinking about it in consideration of many folks experiences with car 'stealerships'. I am not dealing on the large value purchase of a car, only the piddly here and there parts order and how some places have less than friendly people in the parts crib.
Or were you just saying this hoping I would come down and give you that big hug you so rightly deserve?

haha ... well, I'm not so sure about the hug thing, but coming to BVV on Saturday would have been nice if your schedule had allowed. All my other comments were, and usually are, meant to be taken as a joke ... as I'm sure you know.

As for BVV as a whole, outside the parts department, I'll update my opinion of them once I see if I get anything for free on Saturday (other than a car wash).

Well Saturday for me will depend on how quickly I get the new electrical circuit run, and the deep freezer set. After that I'm free. And the weather looks like it will be a nice day for a drive.

I'm actually hoping to make it as I want to get one of those little plastic C30 cars with the white tires for the baby. He's shown a fondness for cars and trucks, but the larger metal vehicles his brother has are a little hard for him to hold. Kicking myself for not grabbing one the last time I was there picking up my wheels. Oh well.

Hey ChrisS, it would be great to meet you. I think Heysa will let us know when he expects to be there. I can go anytime, but probably later in the morning will be most likely and it only goes until 1, so I'm thinking 11 or so? Whatever works for you guys. I can get there earlier too if that works, or just wait around for C30s to show up.

John has been awesome... but when I was shopping for my c30, I was never approached which is a mixed bag as I was left to roam on my own.. I did get a rep after a request but never got followed up with regarding any used c30s... though that may have only been because they never came across one that fit my criteria.. Overall, I would still recommend them based on John's amazing customer service!!
