Supagard - is it any good?

My potential dealer quickly agreed to include Supagard treatment on a car as part of the deal but I'm still not there with him yet!

I understand that it costs about £300 to buy, although I'm sure the actual product is cheap to buy (on ebay) and then it's just the application on and in the car.

Is Supagard any good?

nah its a con, avoid it, just another gimmicky POS !

look after your car, wash it regularly and wax it appropriately, job done.

as for the upholstry theres a volvo approved cleaning agent.

Thanks for your comments ripkord.
I have seen some reviews of Supagard in the web, most are negative and only a few positive. I also phoned a few valeting companies and recieved mixed views.

I will talk to dealer again and ask him to offer something else as part of the deal.

£250 for the upgraded audio - heard its well worth it, if not parking sensors are about that price - always handy :)

Supaguard isnt a con providing its applied by the dealer correctly, it is ideal for people who dont like to clean their cars very often and does make it alot easier.

If like most people on this forum which im sure enjoy cleaning their cars alot then yes it is a bit of a waste as you wont see the benefit of it.

My dealer tried to sell me the supaguard treatment inside and out. I told him I had the Autoglym wax and polish at home and would apply it myself. Without any hesitation he offered for them to apply the autoglym if I brought it into them. At handover he also gave me some of the Supaguard leather cleaner/treatment product.

Had the car now since Tuesday night and all seems well. Had an early morning ride on Wednesday on some nice country roads for a good test. The Dynaudio is just fantastic!!!!

That was good of the dealer.

The Dynaudio is excellent but for some reason its not a patch on the system in the C70, probably due to the lack of subwoofers. Ive decided against the Dynaudio on my order because of the cost of it!

Not cheap when buying new I have to agree. However, I bought my car used and the value of extras falls.

Yeah as always with used cars, a one of your spec would probably be about £500 more asking price than a basic car so the extras do lose quite a bit of value.

Supaguard not worth £300 more like £50 I would haggle for £300 worth of extras instead
