2009 Volvo C30 T5

I am in southwest Florida. Recently purchased a 2009 Volvo C30 T5 used with just 2000 miles on it. It does not have cruise control and we want to add it. The Dealer has quoted $600....Any suggestions?

That's a little more than I paid to get mine installed, but I was buying new from the dealer and they may've given me a slight break on it.

I'd say go ahead and do it-- I did all my thinking and planning and pricing knowing I'd be immediately adding cruise control. Mentally amortize the $600 over the years you expect to have the car, versus the irritation of not having it, and you'll probably find it's justifiable.

Just... try not to think about how ridiculous it is that it wasn't standard in the first place.

I have to agree that this is one of those things that should have been standard.

If you like Cruise Control, the Volvo version does a really nice job. It's smooth, spot on, easily engaged, disengaged, and adjusted. On longer highway trips I am almost able to handle all the speed control with my left thumb. (^_^)

$600 is way too much... should be half of that.

Labor should be at most one hour (~$80), then the part + software shouldn't cost $520.
