Just remember guys.....I wanted a 6sp R-Design and in the Midwest USA there are not a whole lot of them. Everyone wants an automatic for some reason. My dealer said they usually trade their manual transmissions off to other dealers. A manual transmission was a must thus limiting my choices unless I ordered one.

So, Brilliant Blue was my only option unless I wanted to go 150 miles North and get a demo with almost 3000 miles and missing some of the options I wanted, but it was Cosmic White w/ the brownish lower.

Initially I wanted silver, but now that I have this blue I absolutely love it! I am glad things worked out the way they did. And please remember I did not add the hood or side scoops. The car had 200 miles on it when I got it. The dealer did it in hopes to get win over a Mini Cooper S buyer I was told. I am just a little freaked out to remove it for fear it will leave a mark of some kind. It's a catch 22 for me right now. I figure in a couple of months as the new wears off I will be more brave and get the scoop off.

It is getting some attention. I have had several people approach me already asking about the car or telling me they were hoping to see one on the road soon.

Glad to see some one from Tulsa, OK on here too!

I bet if you took it back to the dealer and said you're not 'feeling' the scoops they'd remove them for you free of charge. Worth a try IMO.

It is going back for a detail since it was raining when we picked it up. Maybe then I should ask!

Thanks!

The hood scoop found a home above my workbench.

I am keeping the sidescoops for now. I don't think they look bad. I will however have to do some buffing. The clearcoat got a little scratched. I am not sure if it was from the vibration of the scoop or me removing it.

I think I could maybe get +15 if I turned it around AND put it above the windshield.

You can certainly try, but I'm a bit of an eBay junkie and for a while there I would do an all-things C30 search every few weeks, and I'd always see the same C30 hood scope on there for weeks, so something tells me they don't fly off the shelf if you know what I mean. But might as well try you know? Never know someone out there may be waiting for one to pop up (although I'd recommend listing it for pretty cheap - maybe around $75 and see if you get an nibbles? Your call of course...)

I'd be interested in buying the scoop. Would have to post to the UK though! Email me if you are interested : pedigreecat@btinternet.com

Love the colour. I have one the same on order - have been waiting 10 weeks and still have 4 to go!
