Interior Protector

U.K.

Can anyone recommend a good scotchguard type product to use on seats and carpet mats. I declined the offer for dealer to do it but would like to protect from spills and little muddy trainers etc.

I don't know if it's sold in the UK but" 303 high tech fabric guard" is an option.

Hi , do you not want to use Scotchgard itself? You can buy scotchgard from retail outlets or of ebay. Have a look at link below. STEVE P

I'm sure I've read that it marks the black seats

The 303 stuff is available here. I thought genuine Scotchguard had been withdrawn from retail sale in the UK for Health & Safety reasons?

Looks good, I will see if anyone has any other products successfully used which they can recommend. If not then I will give the 303 a go.

I've used the Autoglym 'Lifeshine' fabric protector. This is their equivalent of Supaguard, Diamondbrite etc. Seemed to work a treat, although I'd never recommend the exterior treatment over a decent cleaning regime. The individual bits of the kit are normally available on ebay, or the whole lot can be found here:

I'a big fan of Autoglym products and I'm seriously looking at the kits on ebay following your link.

I've already clayed my car followed by polish and 2 coats of wax so i will leave out the exterior protector because it would require me to strip all this off before application.

i take it that a clay bar will always strip supaguard type protectors?

Thanks to CSP for the link.

I bought the very same kit from ebay, Autoglym Lifeshine and can recommend it.

Wouldn't pay a dealer £300 to do it as it's easily done yourself.

Kit cost me £8.99 + £4 postage

Interior is now fully protected with the scotchguard equivalent and the windows and exterior now have a sealant. It took me less time than it did to clay my car and I'm delighted with the results.
